Actually, we try to start warming up at 7:00, and sometimes go as late as 10:00 (not often).
Also, canned music using one of Tod Wagoner's GREAT boxes.

What is Scottish Country Dancing?

Danced in the barns and croft houses, the ballrooms and the castles of Scotland for centuries, Scottish Country Dancing captures the spirit, the wonder, and the music of Scotland.Ê Learn Scottish Jigs and Reels, Hornpipes and Rants, and the elegant Strathspey.Ê The form of dancing is sets of couples, but you don't need a partner to join the fun.Ê And the music will tell what to do!

Where is it?

The Rocky Hill Grange, East Greenwich, Rhode Island Ê
SE Corner of RI routes 2 and 401 (off of Route 2)

How do we get there?

  • From the East: Take 195 West to 95 South (both interstates) in Providence. Then continue "From the north".

  • From the North: Take 95 South to Exit 9 (= RI route 4, left exit off 95). (BEWARE, THERE IS NO EXIT 8 GOING SOUTH on 95.) Take the first exit off route 4, (RI route 401, Division Street).

  • Heading West. Take Division Street (route 401) to RI route 2. (BIG Cinema on left, shopping center on the right). Only about 3/4 mile?

  • Turn left on RI route 2 (big intersection), go past the edge of the shopping center on the left, and turn left immediately at the long white building with a parking lot. This is the ROCKY HILL GRANGE where we dance.

  • From the South: Take Interstate 95 to exit 8. (BEWARE, THERE IS NO EXIT 9 GOING NORTH on 95.)Ê Turn right onto RI route 2. Go through the intersection with the BIG CINEMA on the left go past the edge of the shopping center on the left, and turn left immediately at the long white building with a parking lot.
