I belive this is from the Highlands.
The MIDI wouldn't play properly as a MIDI file so I converted this to an MP.3 instead (It's about 800kb). The voices are supposed to be violin and mandolin, but the synthesized mandolin sounds a wee bit weird! ;)
The harmony may not be traditional, but it was added by playing guitar along with the melody, which is partly in A Dorian mode and then shifts to a melodic minor (A B C D E F# G# A) towards the end. I added a picardy third on the final cadence which worked nicely...Another arrangement that's in progress -- chords subject to change as I get familiar with this tune, but so far I like this arrangement.. ;)
